Regional supporters of presidential candidate, Donald J. Trump, are hosting a rally to organize volunteers for Lafayette County at the Colonel’s Quarters at Castle Hill on February 2.
The rally is being held a day after the Iowa Caucus on February 1, in which several candidates have heavily campaigned for the past few weeks. The Mississippi primary date is Tuesday, March 8, which gives voters a little over a month to prepare.
“We are hoping that a good many Ole Miss students, as well as high school students, to get involved in order to promote the candidacy of Donald J. Trump in Lafayette County,” said Steve Vassallo, the Lafayette County Chairman for Trump’s campaign. “I got involved in high school with the Barry Goldwater campaign in high school and never regret it.”
The rally has a casual dress code and light hors d’oeuvres will be served to guests. According to Vassallo, the rally will be held rain or shine from 6:30 p.m. until 8 p.m.
