Oxford police responded to the following calls: 911 hang up, 17 alarms, ambulance assist, animal complaint, auto-burglary, burglary-unlawful entry, three careless driving, civil matter, counterfeit currency, three disturbing the peace, domestic disturbance, grand larceny, two improper parking, lost property, three malicious mischiefs, motorist assist, other agencies assist, petit larceny, recovered property, shoplifting, eight suspicious activity, five suspicious people, two suspicious vehicles, six welfare concerns.
Oxford police investigated 13 accident, 33 tickets and made the following arrest:

DUI 1st, Careless Driving, No Insurance
DUI 1st, Speeding
DUI 3rd, No Driver’s license, one headlight

Lafayette Sheriff’s Department responded to the following incidents: 11 accidents, 11 alarms, three animal complaints, six disturbances, petit larceny, harassment, juvenile complaint, two malicious mischief, seven service calls, seven suspicious activities, four welfare concerns, three transports, trespassing, four information, fraud, two reckless driving, civil matters 19 process served.

12/08 – 11:38 – Merchants Drive (building Dick’s through Shoe store) – techs working on the sprinkler system and didn’t put alarm in test mode
12/08 – 18:40 – The Village Bldg. 110 – carbon monoxide detector malfunction
12/09 – 05:11 – The Inn at Ole Miss – cooking in the kitchen activated a smoke detector
12/09 – 05:28 – Faulkner Flats #1801 – smell of smoke – smelled as though they turned heater on for the 1st time
12/09 – 17:52 – Cambridge Station Bldg. 1 – alarm malfunction
12/09 – 19:10 – 401 Bramlett – 1 car wreck – no injuries
12/10 – 00:06 – Shady Acres Trailer park # 5 – smell of smoke – use monitors to check all outlets and found nothing
12/10 – 01:00 – Oxford Conference Center – employee accidentally bumped a fire alarm pull station
12/10 – 14:39 – CR 108 – wreck with extrication
