Eli Manning has his starting job back, and the New York Giants fired Head Coach Ben McAdoo, along with GM Jerry Reese.
The shakeup came after McAdoo announced last week that Eli Manning would be benched in week 13’s game against Oakland. That broke Manning’s record of 210 consecutive starts, a record he’d just recently taken away from his brother, Peyton Manning. It also sparked a firestorm of controversy and outrage, leading to McAdoo’s dismissal.
We took to Twitter and found that McAdoo may not have been the most liked guy in New York.
It’s all fun and games until your key card stops working, right?
Benching one of the winningest quarterbacks in NFL history is a pretty bold move….
Nobody likes a case of the Mondays…or unemployment.
There’s always an upside, right? We can appreciate the positivity for sure!
Giants’ Defensive Coordinator Steve Spagnuolo will step in as interim head coach. Assistant General Manager Kevin Abrams has been tapped as interim GM for now.
The biggest question is, how will Eli and the Giants bounce back as they head into this week’s NFC East division matchup against the Dallas Cowboys? The Cowboys have also been struggling to right their ship after the suspension of star running back Ezekiel Elliot shook up their starting lineup and scoring strength.
