Before Ole Miss takes the field for fall camp, they met the press for Ole Miss Media Day. Head coach Matt Luke kicked things off with a press conference during which he stated that the two players arrested yesterday, Detric Bing Dukes and Kendarius Webster will be suspended for the first game of the season. He went on to discuss the suspensions saying that they must be mindful of the consequences of their actions and that it sets an example for the team moving forward. TE Octavious Cooley will also be suspended due to a “violation of team rules.”

Luke and the rest of the team are ready to get back on the field where the Rebels can begin to move forward and improve on their 5-7 record from the 2016 season.
