Vassallo: There Is No “Too Much Heaven”

I woke up Monday morning listening to a classic song, “Too Much Heaven,” which was a No. 1 hit for the Bee Gees some 36 years ago.

This was their fourth of six consecutive No. 1 hits, tying the Beatles in the process for consecutive No. 1s!

Speaking of heaven, I just finished an amazing book, 50 Things You Need To Know About HEAVEN written by Dr. John Hart. The book is based on scripture in describing what we can all expect in the afterlife. It definitely altered several of my preconceived perceptions of what will transpire next. Following is a concise sampling of several of the questions addressed. If heaven is part of your travel plans, you might want to check this out. In any event, if it has the same effect on you that it had on me, it will certainly get you thinking in a spiritual direction.

Because of space limitations I cannot mention all 50 things. However, here are a few to get you motivated: Who goes to heaven? How good must a person be to get to heaven? Do Christians go to heaven immediately after they die? Do people in heaven know what is happening on earth? Will animals be in heaven? Will we remember our earthly life in heaven? and What is the great white throne of judgment of Revelation 20?

I think this gives you a picture of what the book addresses and remember, the answers are based on scripture, not a CNN-type viewpoint. None of us truly know how many days we have remaining in the Grove, but I can safely say that whatever my number is, these will be greatly influenced by the eternal expectations and knowing that there is never enough “Too Much Heaven!”
