U.S. Sen. Bernie Sanders, Actor Danny Glover, and Cornell Williams Brooks, national president and CEO of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP), were the main speakers at a march with ties to the United Auto Workers. It was held today in Canton, Mississippi and drew several thousand people.
After the rally, the participants, who were largely employees of Nissan and their families, marched about two miles to the Nissan plant to deliver a letter demanding the right to vote to form a union. They also wanted to bring attention to their desire for higher pay, job security and safer working conditions. There were some accusing Nissan of civil rights abuses.
See 360° video footage below provided by the Meek School of Journalism & New Media at the Unversity of Mississippi. Get up close to the speakers and experience what it was like in the March. 360° video allows you to drag the screen and get a 360° view at any point during the video.

Nissan issued this statement (courtesy of WJTV) after the march.

“The allegations made by the union are totally false. The UAW has admitted that these efforts are part of a campaign to pressure the company into recognizing a union, even without employee support. Nissan respects and values the Canton workforce, and our history reflects that we recognize the employees’ rights to decide for themselves whether or not to have third-party representation.”

Most of the marchers were wearing red t-shirts which said WE DESERVE BETTER on the back. In the drone footage, the sea of people can be seen from above and the side as it made its way to the Nissan plant, which is about two miles from the rally site.
