Where’s Waldo? Square Book Jr. knows.
Square Books Jr. is one of 250 bookstores nationwide that is participating in the fifth annual Where’s Waldo Shop Local event. For the entire month of July, 26 stores on the Square will have hidden cutouts of Waldo for children to find. Each Waldo cutout will be hidden in different spots daily.
The children’s bookstore gives out Where’s Waldo passports. Children who find Waldo in participating stores will receive a stamp in their passport book. With 10 stamps, the children can win a button and 20 stamps will earn them an entrance in a drawing for Where’s Waldo prizes.
Winners of the drawing will be announced on Saturday, July 30, at the Grand Prize Party. Square Books Jr. will have a tent set up on the courthouse lawn with prizes and refreshments. The party will be a part of the Oxford Square Alliance’s Summer Festival.
Where’s Waldo Shop Local event began five years ago to celebrate the 25th Anniversary of the book. This year Where’s Waldo is celebrating its 30th anniversary with a coloring book.
