The Daily Crime Report for May 8

The Oxford Police Department investigated eight wrecks, issued 11 traffic citations and made one arrest, on the charge of domestic violence simple assault.
Oxford Police also responded to reports of welfare concern, four alarms, seven disturbances, five ambulance assists, out-of-jurisdiction assist, suspicious activity, three 911 hang-ups, two petit larcenies, two civil matters, harassing phone calls, two animal complaints, fire department assist and a parking complaint.
The University Police Department responded to the following incidents Wednesday, May 7:
Two improper equipment, suspicious person, traffic assists on Coliseum Drive, hit-and-run accident at the Ford Performing Arts Center, harassment off-campus, motor vehicle accident at The Ridges, traffic assist on Student Union Drive, petit larceny at Kincannon Hall, traffic assist at the Ole Miss Union, hit-and-run accident at the Indoor Practice Facility, vehicle stop, running a stop sign on All American Drive, careless driving and running a stop sign at Buie-Skipwith Museum.
The Oxford Fire Department responded to the following calls Wednesday, May 7: – Hallway smoke detector malfunction, at 148 Garden Terrace, at 3:29 p.m.
