Man Charged with Molestation The Oxford Police Department arrested Robert McKinney, 65, of Crosby, Texas, on one count of molestation.
Crosby was arrested Tuesday after officers investigated a complaint that was filed by members of McKinney’s family, who reside in Oxford. His bond was set at $25,000.

Man Charged with Causing Youth to Commit Felony The Oxford Police Department arrested Darren Polk, 19, of Oxford, for one count of causing a youth to commit a felony.
Polk was arrested Monday after officers worked a house burglary at Garden Terrace. During the investigation, officers located a suspect who confessed to the crime and they also recovered property.
According to police, Polk was identified as he person who directed the youth to go to the house and steal certain items. Polk’s bond was set at $10,000.
The Oxford Police Department investigated nine wrecks, issued 33 traffic citations and made eight arrests, on the following charges: possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of fake ID; possession of Schedule 2 narcotics and possession of drug paraphernalia; possession of drug paraphernalia; possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of alcohol by a minor; possession of marijuana in a motor vehicle; and suspended driver’s license; molesting; and directing or causing a youth to commit a felony.
Oxford Police also responded to reports of two improper parking, four alarms, two fire department assists, two welfare concerns, five suspicious activity, credit card fraud, malicious mischief, harassing phone calls, two disturbances, ambulance assist, civil matter and a code violation.
The University Police Department responded to the following incidents Tuesday, May 6: Two speeding, driving without headlights at Dormitory Row North, traffic assists on Coliseum Drive, larceny, burglary – taking items from auto at Tad Smith Coliseum and at Kincannon Field Lot, improper equipment at University Place, vandalism to vehicle at Tad Smith Coliseum, disturbance at the Quadrangle and a hit-and-run accident at the Women’s Terrace – Lower Lot.
The Oxford Fire Department responded to the following calls Tuesday, May 6: – Grass fire on University Avenue, at 4:44 p.m.
– Structure fire reported by caller who saw smoke coming from Emileigh’s bakery, at 401 South Lamar Blvd., at 9:07 p.m.
– Fire alarm, at 101 Creekmore Blvd., at 7:52 p.m.
