Taste of the Game: Sunday ‘Funday’ in Orlando for Ole Miss Rebels

884

The upside to having a Monday night matchup is that you have spent most of the entire weekend pregaming for the affair. Of course being an Ole Miss Rebel you know that the act of throwing a party is something to be taken seriously whether home or on the road.

After getting acquainted with Orlando it’s time to regroup and dish over the tales of the weekend with some savory grub and yes more libations of all sorts to rejuvenate and regroup for a much-awaited game day.

For the rookies, you have had a couple days to get acquainted with the ways of being a Rebel, and for the veterans, once again you have tested if you’ve still got what it takes to survive this kind of game weekend. Power naps, good grub and not to mention a bloody or two will get you thru most game weekends so why not use your Sunday Funday in Orlando to do that with your fellow Rebels.

The final stop on this week’s edition of Taste of the Game is for a good Sunday Brunch. Whether you’re looking to make a statement or go unnoticed I have the place for any brunch go-getters come Sunday in Orlando.

It’s called the White Wolf Cafe and Bar.

Rebels can appreciate an intimate and eclectic environment, and some would say we prefer it that way. Then there’s no doubt in my mind when you head over to Bohemian Ivanhoe Village District of Orlando. You’ll find the White Wolf Cafe & Bar will make you feel like you’re back in Oxford. Their Brunch and drink pairings will tantalize all your taste buds.

So if you’re getting a late start, why not enjoy a selection from their “late start” brunch menu. Try one of their signature Build your Omelet:Choice of two items, served with fresh fruit or French fries: Provolone, Swiss, American, Cheddar, sausage, bacon, mushroom, pepper, onion, tomato, spinach, or ham | Each additional item – $1.00) $ 12 the perfect thing that will be both filling and the perfect cure for whatever ails you.

Now, hardly anyone can turn down good ole fashion home style cooking. You have to indulge in one of their menu faves — Crab Cakes Benedict: Poached eggs, Hollandaise, crab cakes, and avocado on an English muffin with choice of hash browns, home fries, or grits $16

Not sure what you want but you do want a little bit of this and a little bit of that, then go with the Hungry Like The Wolf: Pancakes or French toast, two eggs your way, hash browns, home fries or grits, and choice of ham, bacon, or sausage $11 (You can’t beat that price).

If you’re still indulging in libations, then you have to start off with one of their house specialty cocktails: Chipotle Bloody Mary Tito’s vodka and house-made chipotle bloody mix $7 or their House-Made Sangria Glass $7. Now if you’re just going to take it straight into game day (plenty of h20 in between) then you have to go with The Godfather: Bulleit™ bourbon, amaretto, blo,od orange, and bitters $10.

Whatever your Sunday Brunch affair calls for the White Wolf Cafe will have just what the doctor ordered. It will be the perfect place to unwind from the weekend and regroup to make a statement for Monday’s game-day affairs. HOTTY TODDY!
