Student Affairs Hosting Tie-Dye Dash this Weekend
5-K race/walk to raise funds for breast cancer research
OXFORD, Miss. – Walkers and runners of all ages are urged to participate in a fundraiser scheduled for Oct. 27 at the University of Mississippi.
The Tie-Dye Dash begins at 4 p.m. in the Grove. Sponsored by UM’s Division of Student Affairs, the goal is to have 400 people run or walk through the campus. Visit http://www.racesonline.com to register for the event. Participants get a T-shirt and will be pelted with colored powders as they complete the course.
Any money not used for event supplies and organization will be donated to support breast cancer research through the Susan G. Komen Foundation.
“There are various levels of sponsorship for the race,” said Jessica Goodson, race committee chair. “All sponsors will be recognized on signage featured at the event.”
Sponsorship levels are Platinum Level for donations of $1,000 or more, Gold Level for gifts of $500 to $999, Silver Level for contributions of $250 to $499 and Bronze Level for funds of $100 to $249.
