2013 SEC Bowl Matchups

ncaa-football-logoThe excitement of college football’s regular season has come to an end, but the teams in the Southeastern Conference brought their usual pageantry to the field every weekend.

The SEC has been the pinnacle of dominance in the nation after winning the last seven National Championships in a row. With the BCS series ending this year, the Auburn Tigers vying for the conference’s eighth title in as many years.

Auburn had a miracle season by beating Georgia and Alabama in a come-form-behind fashion. The Tigers lost all eight conference games the season before, but only dropped one SEC game this season, to LSU.

Auburn will go up against the Florida State Seminoles on Jan. 6 for the National Championship.

The conference that is known for excellence hopes to continue that legacy during this bowl season, as ten of the 14 teams became bowl eligible.

Capital One Bowl: South Carolina vs. Wisconsin

Outback Bowl: LSU vs. Iowa

Cotton Bowl: Missouri vs. Oklahoma State

Chick-fil-A Bowl: Texas A&M vs. Duke

Gator Bowl: Georgia vs. Nebraska

Music City Bowl: Ole Miss vs. Georgia Tech

Liberty Bowl: Mississippi State vs. Rice

Compass Bowl: Vanderbilt vs. Houston
