Oxford Resident Wright Thompson Tells Nation about Mississippi Football

Last weekend, was a true first for the state of Mississippi with both teams being ranked Nos. 1 and 3 in the nation when ESPN’s College GameDay moved from Oxford to Starkville in one week.
ESPN senior writer and Oxford resident Wright Thompson has done a number of pieces over the season about Grove cups and his family’s season tickets in Vaught-Hemingway, but last week, he revealed a beautiful piece about the strength of sports in Mississippi as a whole, whether they’re Bulldogs or Rebels.
