The Oxford Film Festival held its first holiday party at the home of Dr. and Mrs. Ralph Vance on Sunday, Dec. 7. The party served as a final fundraiser for the 2016 festival to be held Feb. 17-21, 2016.
The festival has grown this year with the addition of a new board of directors and full-time executive director as well as adding more films, panels, parties and monthly programming.
Heavy appetizers from Rib Cage were served as well as a chocolate fountain by Holli’s Sweet Tooth. The holiday band 34th Street performed. After the party, attendees received an Oxford Film Festival holiday ornament as a thank you for supporting the non-profit.
“We wanted to do something special for our sponsors, programmers and supporters this year,” Executive Director Melanie Addington said. “We hope to make this a tradition to celebrate the holidays with our friends.”
The festival party also served as a launch to announce the films for the 2016 festival.
Festivalgoers in attendance were able to see trailers and learn about special screenings. A full public announcement will be made soon.
