Oxford Daily Crime Report: Tuesday, Nov. 25
Oxford police responded to the following incidents: eight alarms, four suspicious activities, three animal complaints, two disturbances, a motorist assist, a malicious mischief, a fire dept. assist, a careless driver, a shoplifting, a lost property, a false pretense, a 911 hang up call, and an auto-burglary at Wal-Mart.
Oxford police investigated two wrecks, issued 14 traffic citations, and made one arrest for shoplifting.
Oxford police discovered no code enforcement violations.
University police responded to the following incidents: a service call for an ambulance for two at Lewis Hall, a motor vehicle accident at Big Valley lot, a petit larceny at the Music Building, a vandalism to vehicle at Turner Center, a petit larceny at Stockard Hall, a grand larceny of more than $1,000 at Green House, a petit larceny at the Grove and a credit card fraud-first offense at the Grove.
Oxford Fire Dept. responded to the following calls: a truck fire at Highway 6 and 7 – the fire dept. extinguished the fire.
