Oxford Daily Crime Report: Thursday, Nov. 6
Oxford police responded to the following incidents: six alarms, four disturbances, four welfare concerns, two noise violations, two malicious mischief, a careless driver, a petit larceny, a credit card fraud, a recovered property, a 911 hang-up call, a trespassing, a forgery, and an animal assist.
Oxford police investigated five wrecks, issued 35 traffic citations, and made six arrests on the following charges: (2) careless drivings with DUI, (2) lease law violations, a public intoxication and a malicious mischief.
Oxford police discovered a code violation per Oxford City Neighborhood Ordinance.
University police responded to the following incidents: a motor vehicle accident with the driver leaving the scene at the Grove, a fight at the Delta Delta Delta house, a petit larceny less than $1,000 at the Grove, vandalism to vehicle at Garland Hall, a motor vehicle accident with property damage at Rebel Drive, and a harassment at Stockard Hall.
Oxford Fire Dept. responded to the following call: an activated smoke detector outside of room 18 at Phi Kappa Tau house — no cause of activation was discovered.
