Candace Malone – Uttering Forgery

On Thursday, December 4, 2014, investigators of the Oxford police dept. charged Candace Malone, 27 years old of Oxford, MS, with felony uttering forgery. Malone attempted to cash a $450,000.00 check that belonged to someone else. Malone was booked for felony – uttering forgery (97-21-59) and her bond was set at $5,000.00.
Oxford police responded to the following incidents: 10 suspicious activities, four welfare concerns, three recovered properties, two noise complaints, two malicious mischief, a careless driver, an alarm, an 911 hang up call, a disturbance, a credit card fraud, a lost property, an animal assist, and three auto-burglaries on unlocked vehicles at Enclave, Grand Oaks and Oxford Creek Drive.
Oxford police investigated seven wrecks, issued 16 traffic citations, and made five arrests on the following charges: (2) warrants served, a public intoxication, a suspended driver’s license, and a careless driving with DUI.
University police responded to the following incidents: a disturbance at Campus Walk, a vandalism to vehicle at Tad Smith Coliseum, and a motor vehicle accident at Howry Hall.
Oxford fire dept. responded to the following calls: a smoke detector malfunction at Phi Mu house, a smoke detector malfunction in Room #23 at Delta Gamma house, an activated smoke detector from steam from ironing in room #1 at Kappa Alpha Theta house, yet another smoke detector malfunction in Room #23 at Delta Gamma house, and a prank pull that broke the fourth floor fire alarm pull station at High Cotton Condos.
