Oxford Daily Crime Report for Wednesday, Sept. 10

Oxford Police Department investigators made an arrest on Wednesday, Sept. 10.
Bryan Creasy – Rape

Investigators with The Oxford Police Department arrested Bryan Creasy 22 years of age from Roanoke, VA for Rape, after the victim came forward and signed charges. Creasy’s bond was set at $10,000.00.
Oxford Police Department responded to the following incidents: five alarms, four disturbances, two careless drivings, two open doors, two malicious mischief, two emergency 911 calls made in mistake, two suspicious persons, a suspicious activity, a prowler call, an animal running at large, a harassment, harassing phone calls, a petit larceny, an identity theft, an improper parking and a residential burglary at 500 Mary Ann Cove.
Oxford Police Department also investigated four wrecks, issued 17 tickets and made 11 arrests for the following charges: (2) careless driving, (2) possession of drug paraphernalia, a suspended drivers license with disorderly conduct and a possession of a controlled substance, a public drunk who resisted arrest, a driver who made an improper turn with a suspended drivers’ license, a driver with a suspended drivers’ license, a shoplifter, a possession of alcohol by minor, a careless driver with no headlights and a DUI to first degree.
Oxford Police Department discovered a code enforcement violation and issued a warning on junked vehicles; made a code enforcement citation for an illegal taxi operation.
University Police Department responded to the following incidents: a motor vehicle accident at Martin Hall, vandalism at Crosby Hall, a harassment at University Police Department, a harassment at Luckyday Residential College. UPD was also notified by the Oxford Fire Department of mischief at Stockard Hall.
Oxford Fire Department responded to the following calls: a fire pump testing activated the water flow alarm at Ethridge Building, public service at Red Rose Lane, a smoke detector malfunction at Phi Mu house #28, a person discharged fire extinguishers and pulled the fire alarm at the Stockard Hall and a burned toast at 1800 E. Jackson Ave.
