Oxford Daily Crime Report for Monday, Sept. 8
Oxford Police Department responded to the following incidents: five alarms, three disturbances, three welfare concerns, three suspicious activities, a simple assault, a fire dept. assist, a careless driver, a civil matter, a petit larceny, a malicious mischief, an unauthorized use of another credit card and a residential burglary at 2000 Oxford Way.
Oxford Police Department also investigated three wrecks, issued 16 tickets and made two arrests for the following charges: possession of drug paraphernalia, and domestic violence per simple assault.
Oxford Police Department discovered two violations of code enforcement and issued one citation for littering and responded to a littering complaint.
University Police Department responded to the following incidents: a car accident at Brown Hall, a car accident at Hume Hall, a vandalism to vehicle at Khayat Law School, and issued a moving violation to a vehicle on the Manning Way for running a stop sign with a suspended drivers’ license.
Oxford Fire Department responded to the following calls: an unfounded call of grass fire at Anderson Road, a smoke detector malfunction at Stockard #624, a prank pull at The Hub building 4 B and two smoke detector malfunctions at the Alpha Tau Omega house.
