Oxford Daily Crime Report for March 19

The Daily Oxford Crime Report for March 19, courtesy of the Oxford Police Department:
Officers issued 47 tickets, responded to seven wrecks and made five arrests, on the following charges: simple assault; no driver’s license, no insurance; discharging a firearm in city limits; no seatbelt, no drivers license, no insurance; and speeding, reckless driving, failure to yield to emergency vehicle.
In other news, OPD reported four disturbances, two alarms, suspicious activity, a 911 hang up call, petit larceny, ambulance assist, trespassing, open door, malicious mischief and a welfare concern.

Oxford Police arrested Laquandra Dye, 19 of Oxford, on felony embezzlement charges March 18. The owner of Larson’s Cash Saver signed the charges against Dye and bond was set at $1,500.00.
Oxford Police arrested three people March 17 in connection with multiple shoplifting incidents at Walmart. The people arrested were Joseph Davis Mason, 18, from Jackson, on two felony counts; Allison Paige Kelley, 18, from Byhalia, on one felony count; and Dylan Douglas Austin, 20, from Pope, on one felony count.
Officers responded to Walmart on March 14, where two 42 inch flat screen televisions had been stolen. Walmart Loss Prevention apprehended Davis on March 15, who said he attempted to leave the store with two more televisions.
Bond is set at $5,000 for Mason, and $1,500 each for Kelley and Austin.
