Oxford Crime Report: Tuesday, January 20
Oxford police responded to the following incidents: four suspicious activities, three noise complaints, three careless drivers, three animal complaints, two alarms, two noise complaints, two civil matters, 911 hang up calls, a lost property, a harassing phone call, a disturbance, a malicious mischief, a domestic violence, a welfare concern, and a burglary at McLarty Road.
Oxford police investigated 12 wrecks, issued 69 traffic citations and made four arrests on the following charges: (2) shoplifting, a possession of drug paraphernalia, and a warrant served.
University police responded to the following incidents: a fight at the Campus Walk, a vandalism at Crosby Hall, a warrant served at Campus Walk, a report of harassment to the UPD, an intoxicated person at Kincannon Hall, and an emergency medical service for an intoxicated person at Crosby Hall.
Oxford Fire Department responded to the following incidents: a general alarm malfunction at The Locker Room, an activated system caused by workers’ programming at North Ridge housing, a smoke detector triggered by smoking upstairs at the Sigma Alpha Epsilon house, an alarm activated by a resident trying to figure out why the detector was beeping at the Phi Mu house, and a smoke detector malfunction at the Brown Hall #204.
