Oxford police responded to the following incidents: six alarms, five suspicious activities, five disturbances, two code violations, two noise complaints, a simple assault, an animal complaint, a careless driver, a motorist assist, a lost property, an embezzlement, an improper parking, a grand larceny, a welfare concern and an auto-burglary at Coleman Funeral Home.

Oxford police investigated eight wrecks, issued 51 traffic citations and made 10 arrests on the following charges: (2) possession of drug paraphernalia; (2) careless driving and DUI; a DUI wreck (no injuries; a failure to dim headlights with suspended driver’s license and possession of marijuana; a seatbelt violation with possession of Schedule II narcotics; a shoplifting; a seatbelt violation with no driver’s license nor car insurance; and a seatbelt violation with no driver’s license nor car insurance but with a warrant served.

University police responded to the following incidents: an accidental hit and run in Women’s Terrance Lot, a vehicle wreck at Stockard Hall and an improperly parked vehicle at Stockard hall.

Oxford Fire Department responded to the following calls: a smoke detector activated by heat from a curling iron left on a table at Kappa Alpha Theta house, a smoke detector alerted by low battery at 1211 Azalea Cove, and a water flow alarm due to sprinkler activation in Building 5 on Molly Barr Trails.
