Oxford Crime Report: Thursday, February 26

Oxford police department responded to the following incidents: nine alarms, three disturbances, three improper parking, two welfare concerns, two lost properties, a simple assault, a scam, a suspicious activity, a malicious mischief, and an ambulance assist.

Oxford police investigated four wrecks, issued 16 traffic citations and made 11 arrests on the following charges: (2) minors in possession of alcohol; a possession of marijuana in a motor vehicle; a speeding with DUI; a public intoxication; a speeding with no car insurance but with a possession of a fake ID and a DUI; a public intoxication with possession of schedule IV narcotics; a public intoxication with possession of fake ID and failure to comply; a domestic violence; a driving with a suspended license; and a driving with no car tag and a suspended driver’s license.

University police responded to the following incidents: a possession of drug paraphernalia in Kincannon Hall; a vehicle stop on Hathorn Road; a vehicle stop on Intramural Field Road; a vehicle stop on Rebel Drive; a vehicle stop on Fraternity Row; a vehicle stop on All-American Drive; a possession of drug paraphernalia in Kincannon Hall parking lot; and a vehicle stop on All American Drive.

Oxford Fire Department responded to the following call:a smoke detector activated by cooking at Blue Fin Oyster Bar.
