Oxford Crime Report: Monday, January 12
Oxford police responded to the following incidents: four alarms, two careless drivers, two welfare concerns, two suspicious activities, two trespassing, two malicious mischief, two disturbances, noise complaints, a simple assault, a harassing phone call, a counterfeit currency, a motorist assist, a civil matter, an animal complaint, and a grand larceny.
Oxford police investigated five wrecks, issued 13 traffic citations and made four arrests on the following charges: a public intoxication, a shoplifting, a public intoxication with possession of a controlled substance, and a careless driving with a suspended driver’s license.
University police responded to the following incidents: a motor vehicle accident on Jackson Avenue, and a report of larceny with items taken from an automobile.
Oxford Fire Department responded to the following call: a sprinkler pipe burst at the Alpha Tau Omega house.
