Every time the Ole Miss Volleyball team steps on the court, the opposing team is looking to end the Rebels’ win streak.
That didn’t happen Thursday night, as Ole Miss downed Louisiana Tech 3-0 at the Gillom Sports Center to remain undefeated at 11-0.
The Rebels continue play in the Rebel Classic Friday at 5:30 p.m. against Samford.
Juniors Nakeyta Clair and Ty Laporte combined for 17 kills and eight blocks to lead the Rebels.  Clair hit .562 off nine kills and had two solo blocks among her five total blocks. Laporte tallied eight kills for a .500 hitting percentage and added three block assists.
Senior Marie-Pierre Bakima and freshman Lexi Thompson both added nine kills as well.  Bakima hit for a season-high .318, and added two assists, seven digs and one service ace. Senior defensive specialist Cara Fisher totaled 11 digs on the night.
“I thought we looked a little unfocused at times,” head coach Steven McRoberts said. “Louisiana Tech definitely helped us in some areas when we weren’t executing great.  One of the biggest things we talked about this week is preparing for bigger things knowing that SEC play is ahead and we have to get better.”
