Ole Miss Softball Opens Fall Camp Sessions

The Ole Miss softball program will be hosting fall camp sessions in the months of October and November, head coach Mike Smith announced on Thursday. The camps will feature sessions for all ages.

Ole Miss Softball Camps offer an opportunity for players to receive valuable instruction on the fundamental skills of softball. Campers will be made aware of the characteristics that define successful softball players. Organized games between campers will provide a competitive outlet after specific drills have been practiced. Contests built into drills capture the learner’s attention, which results in attentive practice.
Drill progressions will be aimed towards recognizing and developing good habits in all aspects of the game. General courtesy, respect for teammates and opponents and the importance of hard work will be taught to the campers through example by the Ole Miss coaches.
The Rebels will host a weekly pitching camp that runs from Monday, October 13 through Monday, October 10 with two sessions. One session will be held for athletes in first through sixth grade, and will immediately be followed by a session for athletes in seventh through 12^th grade.
Ole Miss will also host a weekend hitting camp and a weekend camp for position players that are open to all athletes ages eight through 18. Those camps will be held the weekend of October 25-26 at the Ole Miss Softball Complex.
