Ole Miss’ Michael Simeon Goes to American Idol’s Top 24

Michael Simeon

Congratulations Michael Simeon for placing in American Idol’s Top 24 last night!

Simeon sang and rapped “Classic” by MKTO live at the House of Blues in Los Angeles.

The next day he met with the American Idol judges who praised him and wanted him to be in their Top 24.

Being in the top 24 is the furthest he has been since last season when he made it to the top 48 before elimination. This is his third try at American Idol and it is indeed a charm.

Simeon is one of 12 guys along with 12 ladies remaining from the judges’ elimination of the initial 48 contestants. America citizens will then vote on the 24 semi-finalists.

He is currently taking a semester break from his junior year in mechanical engineering at University of Mississippi to pursue his dreams. This isn’t a surprise to Ole Miss students since he won the Ole Miss Idol last spring.
