The Ole Miss Rebels return to the hardwood at Tad Smith Coliseum this evening, when they host the Alabama Crimson Tide. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m.
Ole Miss (16-11, 7-7 SEC) looks ready to bounce back from four straight conference losses. In a heartbreaking 75-71 loss to the Florida Gators on Saturday, the Rebels’ leading scorer Marshall Henderson was held to only 22 points in the first half.
Jarvis Summers was close behind Henderson, putting up 20 points against the Gators.
Henderson has now tied Pat Bradley’s SEC record of hitting a 3-pointer in every game for 60 straight games.
Alabama (11-16, 5-9 SEC) comes into the game after a split week, losing to Texas A&M and gaining a win against Missouri. Bama scored a total of 48 points to the Aggies’ 63 on Thursday, then turned around on Saturday and defeated Mizzou by the score of 80-73.
On the season, the Tide has not fared well away from Coleman Coliseum, with a record of 0-12.
Senior Trevor Releford leads Alabama in scoring, averaging 19.0 points per game, and has a team-high 77 assists.
When the game tips off this evening, it will be the 173rd meeting in the series. Alabama holds a 118-54 advantage. Last season, the Rebels defeated Alabama 87-83 in Oxford.
Fans can catch all the action of the game on ESPN3 or listen to the play-by-play on the Ole Miss Radio Network.
