Ole Miss Defeats No. 19 Arkansas on the Road

The Ole Miss Rebels traveled into Fayetteville and knocked off No. 19 Arkansas 96-82.

Ole Miss (11-6, 2-2 SEC) continued to play well on the road in every aspect of the game. The Rebels were led in scoring by Stefan Moody with 18 points. Moody was joined in double figures by Jarvis Summers with 17 points, Sebastian Siaz with 12 points and LaDarius White with 10.

The Rebels outplayed the Hogs throughout the whole game, outshooting Arkansas throughout the game. Ole Miss had an 18-point lead with seven minutes left to go in the game. The Razorbacks made a push to try to cut into the lead, but the Rebels would not allow Arkansas to get the score under a 10-point margin.

Ole Miss came into the game against the Arkansas Razorbacks on fire in the first half, hitting 74 percent from the field. In the second half, the Rebels continued to shoot well in the game, but the team’s percentage did drop to 56 percent in the game.

From behind the arc in the half, Ole Miss hit five of six three pointers at 83 precent.

At the half, the Rebels led 52-40 over Arkansas. Ole Miss only had one turnover in the first 20 minutes of play, while Arkansas turned the ball over five times.

Up next for the Rebels is a road trip to face the Georgia Bulldogs on Tuesday night in Athens.
