Mississippi Senator Roger Wicker (R) will keynote a high-level Technology Summit called by Ole Miss Chancellor Jeff Vitter next week.
The public is invited to hear Senator Wicker’s opening remarks at 10 am in the Overby Center Auditorium on Wednesday, Aug. 31. Following Senator Wicker’s address, a group of leaders from government, business and academia will meet separately to explore future technology initiatives for Ole Miss.
“Just as this university is focused on connectivity to prepare students for the workforce, our farmers are focused on connectivity in ways that could grow crops more efficiently,” Wicker said. “Our emergency responders are focused on connectivity in ways that could save lives during a disaster. Our doctors are focused on connectivity in ways that could deliver health care to underserved areas. Connectivity affects us all, and it is poised to transform Mississippi’s future.”
