Holloway Tapped For All-Star Game

The Resse’s college All-Star game is set For Final Four weekend in Atlanta

Ole Miss senior Murphy Holloway has been selected to participate in the Reese’s College All-Star Game, hosted by the National Association of Basketball Coaches, this weekend at the Final Four in Atlanta.

The Reese’s College All-Star Game features 20 of the finest senior college basketball players from NCAA Division I playing on the NCAA Final Four floor at the Georgia Dome.  The game is played as part of events during Final Four Friday, including practices by all four of the teams playing in the semifinals, on Friday, April 5, at 5 p.m. Admission is free, and the game will be televised on tape-delay on Sunday, April 7, at 6 p.m. on CBS Sports Network.

The Rebels’ all-time leading rebounder, Holloway will play on the West team, which will be coached by Iowa State’s Fred Hoiberg. Holloway’s teammates on the West squad include Baylor’s Pierre Jackson, Saint Louis’ Kwamain Mitchell, Georgia Tech’s Mfon Udofia, La Salle’s Ramon Galloway, VCU’s Troy Daniels, Miami’s Durand Scott, Iowa State’s Will Clyburn, North Carolina State’s Richard Howell, Notre Dame’s Jack Cooley and Villanova’s Mouphtaou Yarou.

The East roster includes Ohio’s D.J. Cooper, UCLA’s Larry Drew II, Arizona State’s Carrick Felix, Kansas State’s Rodney McGruder, Oregon’s E.J. Singler, Long Beach State’s James Ennis, BYU’s Brandon Davies, Creighton’s Gregory Echenique, Davidson’s Jake Cohen, Wisconsin’s Jared Berggren and Akron’s Zeke Marshall. Tennessee’s Cuonzo Martin will coach the East team.

Among the recent players in the game who have gone on to current NBA rosters are Lavoy Allen (Temple) – Philadelphia 76ers; Jimmy Butler (Marquette) – Chicago Bulls; Kenneth Faried (Morehead State) – Denver Nuggets; and Andrew Goudelock (College of Charleston) – Los Angeles Lakers.
