Hinge Dance Co. 'Changes' Tickets on Sale Sunday

Tickets for one of the most unique dance shows in Oxford go on sale Sunday before the two-night event next week.
Hinge Dance Company’s fall concert, Changes, will be held Nov. 6 and 7 at The Powerhouse on University Avenue. Doors open at 7:30pm and the concert will begin at 8.
Hinge Dance Company is a contemporary dance company based in Oxford. They are the resident company to Oxford Academy of Dance Arts, where they rehearse and prepare for their bi-annual concerts with auditions every fall and spring.
Hinge was created for dancers who, after graduating high school and moving to Oxford to attend the University of Mississippi, could continue their passion for dancing. Each show has its own theme, and within that theme, each choreographer can expand on that idea and whatever that show’s title means to them.
“We believe there is a strong connection between the art of dance and all other artistic genres,” Siniard said. “Through our performances we hope that our fusion of choreography, live music, and visual art will help to reveal the intrigue and importance that each art form has in relation to the others.”
General seating is $12 in advance or $15 at the door. We will offer our limited table seating with complimentary hors d’oeuvres and a bottle of wine per two people.
