Oxford police investigated one wreck, issued 34 traffic citations and made arrests on the following charges:

Cooking activated the smoke detector at the Townhouse Suites by Marriott room 121.
Caller said her battery is chirping in the smoke detector—low battery at The Retreat #47.
University Police: Four vehicle stops, assist with traffic, speeding, larceny.
