Crime ReportOxford police responded to the following calls: House burglary—Hwy 278 West, five alarms, two noise violations, six suspicious activities, two disturbances, welfare concern, reported careless driving, littering, two malicious mischiefs, two shopliftings, two animal complaints, false pretense, ambulance assist, scam, counterfeit currency, motorist assist.
Oxford police investigated one wreck, issued 34 traffic citations and made arrests on the following charges:

Public Intoxication & Fake ID
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Warrant Served
No Driver’s License, Ran Red Light & No Insurance
No Seatbelt, No Driver’s License & Possession of Schedule 1 Narcotics
Lafayette Sheriff’s Department responded to the following incidents: Four alarms, animal complaint, two disturbances, grand larceny, two suspicious activities, three welfare concerns, two transports, three information, traffic complaint, fraud, two civil matters.

Oxford Fire Department: 
Second floor elevator smoke detector malfunction at 800 Park Condos building three.
Call cancelled to Chick-fil-a.
Cooking activated the smoke detector at the Townhouse Suites by Marriott room 121.
Caller said her battery is chirping in the smoke detector—low battery at The Retreat #47.
