The Coast Rebels Tent is a tradition that has been going on for over 25 years. The tent can be found facing the outer edge of Grove Loop going toward University across from the Yerby Center.

It is the “home tent” for some 50-75 families who all share in the cost every year. Each year, participation changes based on families who have new freshmen and others who may no longer participate because their students graduate. The group stays in touch via email, and each week, three families are the “hosts” in charge of making sure things are ready for game day.

With Coast cities of Pascagoula, Gautier, Ocean Springs, Biloxi, Gulfport, Long Beach, Pass Christian, Bay St. Louis and all the coastal Mississippi communities in between beng a five or six hour drive from Oxford, families like having a place to call “home” in the Grove. When the parents are not able to make the drive for a particular game, their “students” still have a home in the Grove to visit with other Coast friends and family. Enjoy our video feature below to get an inside look!
