With the exception of defensive end (DE) Elijah Daniel, I feel it’s safe to assume Ole Miss should be pretty solid in turning most of their verbal commitments into official commitments on National Signing Day (NSD).

Before NSD even arrives on February 6, Hugh Freeze has a myriad of strong verbal commitments in his No. 12 ranked class including two 4-star quarterbacks (Devante Kincade and Ryan Buchanan), three 4-star running backs (Mark Dodson Jr., Kailo Moore and Jordan Wilkins), a 4-star tight end (Christian Morgan), a 4-star defensive tackle (Lavon Hooks), and a host of 3-star recruits.

Back to DE Elijah Daniel though, many feel his ultimate decision will come down to Ole Miss or Auburn. While Daniel did take a final visit to Auburn after verbally committing to the Rebels a few weeks back, Daniel is aware Freeze has the potential to land the No. 1 DE (Robert Nkemdiche) and No. 2 DE (Chris Jones) on NSD. Next to the highly scrutinized Chris Jones and the battle between Ole Miss and Mississippi State, I feel Daniel will be the only other potential question mark in the mix on NSD for Ole Miss.

I highly expect Hugh Freeze to land the best recruiting class in the history of Ole Miss football.

It should be fun, Rebel fans.
