Oxford police responded to the following calls: Three fire department assists, 10 disturbing the peace, two malicious mischiefs, six animal complaints, two noise violations, five suspicious persons, five welfare concerns, recovered property, five suspicious activities, 10 alarms, three simple assaults, trespass, three lost properties, reported DUI, shoplifting, false pretense, three civil matters, three improper parkings, ambulance assist, domestic disturbance, credit card fraud, petit larceny, code violation, harassing phone call, suspicious vehicle.
Oxford police investigated 19 wrecks, issued 72 traffic citations and made arrests on the following charges:

Cooking activated a smoke detector Gateway Tire.
Someone pulled the fire alarm as a prank at Molly Barr Ridge Bldg. 4.
Bug bombs activated the smoke detector at the Oxford Pawn Shop.
Customer complained of a strange odor – roof a/c unit had a pungent odor at Oxford’s Marriott Courtyard East Jackson Ave.
University Police: Five vehicle stops, speeding, petit larceny, moving violation DUI, three motor vehicle accident, two suspicious person, sexual battery, two public drunk, fake ID, three assist with traffic, reckless driving.
