As voluntary members of the University of Mississippi community, there are responsibilities and obligations that which every member is expected to uphold in respect to themselves and to each other. These responsibilities and obligations are outlined by the values of the University of Mississippi Creed.

The Associated Student Body Sponsored Creed Week is a time designated specifically for recognizing our Creed. The purpose of Creed Week is to educate the students, faculty, administrators and alumni of our community about what it means to live by the values of our Creed.

Creed Week will serve as a reminder of what it means to be a positive member of the Ole Miss family by upholding the values set forth in the University of Mississippi Creed. The dates for Creed Week are September 16th-20th. We hope that you attend each of the events that will be happening during Creed Week.

The University of Mississippi Creed:

The University of Mississippi is a community of learning dedicated to nurturing excellence in intellectual inquiry and personal character in an open and diverse environment. As a voluntary member of this community:

I believe in respect for the dignity of each person. I believe in fairness and civility.

I believe in personal and professional integrity. I believe in academic honesty.

I believe in academic freedom.

I believe in good stewardship of our resources.

I pledge to uphold these values and encourage others to follow my example.
