Celebrate Literature With Literacy Council’s Reads, Beats and Eats
The fundraising event Reads, Beats & Eats will be on March 28 with the doors opening at 7 p.m. at The Lyric. All benefits from the event will go to The Lafayette County Literacy Council.
Tickets cost $50 each. They are available at Oxford Family Pharmacy, Belles & Beaus and board members of the Literacy Council or on The Lyric’s website.
Meridith Wulff, Executive Director of the Literacy Council, said, “We are excited to spotlight our community’s literary, musical and culinary culture as a way to raise much-needed funds for the Literacy Council’s programs. It’s going to be a fun night for a great cause!”
The Kudzu Kings are the featured entertainment. The Oxonian band jokes on its website that it comes together “based on obscure astrological events.” It may be safe to say that this fundraiser is special indeed!
