New Campus Parking Garage Officially Behind Schedule

The University of Mississippi is in the process of building a five-story, 823-spot parking garage near Vaught-Hemmingway Stadium on campus to accommodate weekly and weekend event traffic. The original completion date was set for August 15, 2014, however, the Ole Miss Athletics Foundation sent out the following email on June 18:

Dear Rebel Supporter,
Due to the construction of the first ever on-campus parking garage and a large amount of other construction currently in progress on the Ole Miss campus, we are temporarily suspending the selection of season parking passes beginning at 8:00 a.m. Thursday, June 19. This is being done so that we can verify available inventory and reconcile the various construction timelines with the start of the 2014 football season. Once we have additional information we will notify you immediately and provide updated information on next steps and any contingency plans. We apologize for any inconvenience and thank you in advance for your patience.

So, if you haven’t made your selection for on-campus football gameday parking yet, you may be waiting even longer, or looking for a new space near the Ole Miss campus.
HottyToddy.com will post updates as more information becomes available.
In the meantime, we’d like to remind our readers that the HottyToddy.com office, located at the intersection of Jackson Avenue and Molly Barr/Gertrude Ford, offers prepaid and same-day gameday parking! (Shameless plug? Probably, but better to let you know now than leave you scrambling on September 13 when the UL-Lafayette Ragin’ Cajuns come to Oxford.)
