The Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities recently accredited the adult inpatient rehabilitation program at Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Mississippi.
CARF offers the highest accreditation a rehabilitation hospital can achieve. Health care facilities accredited by CARF must demonstrate that patients served are benefiting from the facilities’ services. To receive a three-year accreditation, organizations must undergo a rigorous peer review and show a team of surveyors during an on-site visit that the organization is committed to following CARF’s accreditation conditions and standards. Baptist North Mississippi has earned a three-year CARF accreditation which will extend through August 2017. The Baptist North Mississippi rehab program has been accredited since 2005.
“This is a huge achievement for our employees, physicians and the hospital,” said Bill Henning, administrator and CEO at Baptist North Mississippi. “We are proud to have our inpatient rehab program accredited by such a prestigious organization.”
CARF is an independent, not-for-profit accrediting body whose mission is to promote the quality, value and optimal outcomes of services through a consultative accreditation process centered around enhancing the lives of the people served. Founded in 1966, CARF establishes consumer-focused standards to help organizations measure and improve the quality of their programs and services.
Baptist North Mississippi is a 217-bed hospital that offers a variety of services, including cardiovascular surgery, neurosurgery, the Baptist Cancer Center and a 24-hour emergency room.
