Newk's Eatery Offers Quick, Friendly Service with Delicious Options

Newk’s Eatery is a dining staple in Oxford, founded on University Avenue in 2004 before expanding to more than 70 locations nationwide.
The small cafe opened by Don Newcomb, Debra Bryson and Chris Newcomb 10 years ago is now a well-known franchise across the southeast, with dozens of locations in Mississippi, Alabama, Tennessee, Louisiana, Texas, Georgia, Florida, Kentucky, South Carolina, North Carolina and Maryland. The two local restaurants, strategically located on University and Jackson avenues, consistently win local awards for their quality of food and service, including multiple Best of Oxford awards presented by The Oxford Eagle this year and for the past decade.
The cafe’s menu includes a variety of soups, sandwiches, salads and pizzas all made fresh with high-quality ingredients. The typical club sandwiches and Caesar salads adorn the menu mixed in with a few unique options, like their homemade pimento cheese and spicy Italian sandwiches.
For those who have trouble deciding between the Lobster and Crab Bisque and the Newk’s “Q,” multiple combo options are available to mix-and-match two options for less than $10.
For the past month, Newk’s has traded its typical black plastic cups for teal ones in honor of Ovarian Cancer Awareness month in conjunction with their Newk’s Cares program.

Newk’s strives to offer customers a quick option, especially during those short lunch breaks, with to-go orders prepared and stocked daily in a handy cooler for grab-and-go options, giving those in a rush an option to avoid the wait. However, those who choose to dine in rarely wait long for their order, and most customers can be in and out in about half an hour.
