Notes from Rebel Nation

Here’s Monday’s notes from around Rebel Nation.
Robert Nkemdiche told ESPN that his leaders are Ole Miss and LSU. He will announce around signing day. Don’t know what her plans are in the next month, but I just don’t see Robert signing with a school his mother hasn’t visited. Anything can happen. Stay tuned.
Greg Hardy did not travel with the Panthers for the game with the Saints because of a family issue. Hardy, who didn’t practice all week because of the issue, which had to do with his mother. Sending good thoughts her way.
Barry Brunetti says he will stay at Ole Miss even if he has to change positions. It;s not being talked about yet, but he is thinking about it. He likes the direction this program is going and wants to see it through. He’s a team first kind of guy and will do whatever it takes to help his team. Like so many Rebels, he will always be a favorite.
Eli ended his season with a five touchdown performance on 208 yards passing. Now that is making good use of pass completions. The Giants will miss the playoffs after an up and down year. Expect a lot of changes on that roster in the offseason.
Michael Spurlock took the opening kickoff back 99 yards for the Chargers in their final regular season game. He finished the season with 9 catches for 79 yards, 11 punt returns for a 17 yard average and 1 TD, as well as a 10 kickoff returns for almost a 26 yard average and 1 TD. Makes you wonder why they released him mid-season.
Looking forward to seeing BJGE in the playoffs. He tweaked his hammy in pre-game yesterday and did not play. The Bengals will need him in the playoffs. I doubt he gets much practice time this week. They will be careful because this kind of thing can linger for weeks. I know this, if BJGE can play he will play.
Dexter had 1 catch for 5 yards in the Chiefs final regular season game. He finished the season with 12 rushes for 70 yards, 52 receptions for 452 yards, and 2 punt returns for 2 yards. There seems to be no end in sight for Dexter. There isn’t a franchise QB in the draft. The only hope might be that he goes to another team (like the Saints or Giants) when his contract is up.
Have a great Monday everybody! Hotty Toddy!
