Ole Miss Athletic Foundation Introduces Refer-a-Rebel

The Ole Miss Athletics Foundation is excited to announce the beginning of a new program, Refer-a-Rebel, that will reward current foundation members for getting family and friends to join the foundation.
“Rebel Nation is as passionate a fanbase as there is in the country,” said Keith Carter, Ole Miss Athletics Foundation executive director. “This is a great way for us to recognize our fans’ passion for Ole Miss by rewarding them for talking and encouraging fellow Rebel fans to join the Ole Miss Athletics Foundation.”
The person who refers other members will get one priority point per new member they sign up. Whichever member signs up the most new members will receive the Ole Miss Football Experience, which includes game recognition and four passes to an on-field suite during a football game.
Other rewards for signing up new members include milestones at five, 10 and 15 referrals. Ole Miss merchandise will be given to each person who gets five new members signed up. For getting 10 new members to sign up, a brick with the inscription of the fan’s choice will be placed in the All-American Plaza. Fifteen new members signed up will get the member a signed football from head coach Hugh Freeze.
“Our priority point system is a loyalty based system,” Carter said. “Currently, the Ole Miss Athletics Foundation rewards donations and season ticket purchases. Refer-a-Rebel adds a service component to our system and allows members to gain priority points by being an active advocate for us. We have also created some exciting supplemental incentives for those who go above and beyond to assist us in our efforts to reach 10,000 members nationwide.”
The new member must not have given a gift in the last two years in order to be considered a new member. Renewals, payments toward pledges and increased giving do not count as a referral. The Refer-a-Rebel form must be filled out by the new member for the referral to be considered official.
