Kendrick Harris – House Burglary
On Thursday, May 29 the Oxford Police Department arrested Kendrick Harris (20 Oxford MS.) for burglary of a dwelling. On Wednesday, May 28 a victim reported that his house was broken into at Riverside Place. It was found that Mr. Harris participated in the burglary. Mr. Harris was charged with burglary of a residence and given a bond $5,000.

Katherine Grumbles – Credit Card Fraud
On Friday, May 30, 2014 Investigators of the Oxford Police Department served an arrest warrant on Katherine Grumbles (21 Plano, Tx.) for Credit Card or Credit Card Number, Use with the intent to Defraud.
On Tuesday, May 6, 2014, the victim came to the police department to file a report of credit card fraud. During the investigation it was determined that Katherine Grumbles was the suspect. Grumbles was identified through stores video surveillance and store employees that knew of Grumbles. The victim signed an affidavit on May 21, 2014. Grumbles came back to Oxford on May 29th and she was arrested for the active warrant of credit card fraud. Grumbles was charged with Credit Card or Credit

William Halcomb – Malicious Mischief
On Thursday May 29th 2014, Oxford investigators arrested William Halcomb 20, of Oxford for Malicious Mischief. This was a result of video evidence showing the suspect maliciously disfigured property and buildings downtown. Halcomb has been arrested and bond was set at $2,500.00.
Over the weekend, the Oxford Police Department responded to the fallowing calls: two open doors, 13 disturbances, four careless drivers, eight ambulance assists, seven alarms, three welfare concerns, six suspicious activities, lost property, an animal assist, two civil matters, four improper parkings, eight noise complaints, three petit larcenies, shoplifting, a public intoxication, two burglaries, a motor vehicle assist, littering, and a fire department assist.
OPD also investigated eight wrecks, wrote 100 traffic citations, and made arrests on the following charges: careless driving, no driver’s license, no insurance and DUI 1st; two shopliftings; seven public intoxications; careless driving, driving while license suspended, and DUI 1st; no seatbelt and DUI 1st; careless driving and DUI 1st; possession of a Schedule 3 narcotic; driving while license suspended; two DUI 1st offenses; two warrants served; possession of alcohol on public streets; failure to yield to a traffic control device and DUI 1st; and a minor in possession of alcohol.
The Oxford Fire Department responded to three calls this weekend: workers activated the sprinkler system at Guyton Hall, a canceled call at Renasant Bank, both on Friday, May 30; and the second floor duct detector malfunctioned at St. Anthony Hall on Sunday, June 1.
The University Police Department responded to the following incidents, all on Sunday, June 1: three vehicle stops on Hill Drive for running a stop sign, improper equipment, and improper left turn at an intersection; two vehicle stops for speeding on Manning Way; a vehicle stop for running a stop sign on Coliseum Drive; assisted OPD on three occasions in an off-campus offense against computer users; and a fight at the Paul B. Johnson Commons.
