Cosby Brings Comedy Relief to Tornado Devastated Tupelo

Screen Shot 2014-05-12 at 10.34.17 AMTupelo, Miss. hosted comedy legend Bill Cosby at the BancorpSouth Arena Saturday night as part of his “Bill Cosby … Far From Finished”.

Fans piled into the arena to see the man many grew up watching on TV, especially as Dr. Huxtable of The Cosby Show.
After tornadoes devastated portions of Mississippi last week, including the city of Tupelo, Cosby opened the show by expressing his sincerest condolences for the loss of property, businesses, and homes, and celebrating the recover effort.
As the show got going and laughter filled the arena, it was apparent that the people of Tupelo needed a night off. They seemed to let go of everything bad and damaged.
Cosby geared his program (and the jokes) toward Mother’s Day, which was appropriate for this particular weekend. He talked about how his parents raised him and his two brothers in Philadelphia, Penn. and how he and his wife raised their children.
So, if you’re having a case of the Mondays, check out this snippet from Mr. Cosby’s tour, courtesy of Comedy Central:
