Communiversity provides non-credit classes that are intended to expose students to new experiences in a fun, stimulating environment.
Communiversity classes bring the community into the university, allowing students, faculty and local residents alike to choose from any of the classes available. Class offerings include a wide array of activities, involving anything from Tai Chi to calligraphy to cake baking, and each class offers a unique learning experience in a personal and convenient setting.
The Ole Miss Division of Outreach and Continuing Education coordinates the Communiversity effort, working to ensure the variety and accessibility of classes. The Division of Outreach is based in the E. F. Yerby Conference Center right beside the Grove.
Robert Jordan, Director of Communications Photography, has taught classes each year in the Communiversity program and is teaching a digital photography class in April.
“I’ve been teaching Communiversity photography classes for many years now and I really enjoy meeting people who are excited and enthusiastic about learning,” Jordan said. “Their energy is contagious and I think I get as much or more out of the experience as the students do.”

While most classes for the spring semester have already taken place, a few are still available for registration. Most fees are under $100, and classes may meet on or off campus. Registration can be done online, in person at the E. F. Yerby Center, or by phone, mail, or fax.
A complete list of classes offered for the spring semester are available on the Communiversity website.
