On Ole Miss game day the Rebel faithful crowd the edges of the brick-lined Walk of Champions to slap high fives and deliver pats on the back to their Saturday stars.
And lately the stars at Ole Miss are rising and shooting. While today’s players look to the future, they can also be inspired by past Ole Miss stars who have shined in the NFL.
The “Walk” in the Grove is meant to spark emotion. But the new “Walk” leading to the Roland & Sheryl Burns football meeting room in the Manning Center on the Ole Miss campus is meant to remind the Rebels of where they came from and where they want to go.

The 32 NFL mannequins there represent Ole Miss’ success in the professional football ranks. There is one for every NFL team and each has a plaque listing all former Rebels who played for the organization.
Not only should the hall serve to help players focus on their game preparation, but it will impress visiting high school recruits as well. The idea to showcase Ole Miss’ pro football history had been talked about among fans and coaches for some time. The exhibit is one more step Ole Miss Athletic Director Ross Bjork is taking to make the Ole Miss facilities among the best in the SEC.
