The VOX PRESS ARTISTS SERIES Presents ‘Delta Dawn’
Vox Press Artists Series presents Delta Dawn: an Evening with Maude Schuyler Clay on October 9, 2013 at the Power House Arts Center in Downtown Oxford, Mississippi. Doors open at 7:00 p.m. Musical guest: Flaming Jack Smith & the Cross Dressers. Dinner and drink for a small donation.
Maude Schuyler Clay is the former photo editor for The Oxford American. Clay’s work has appeared in Vanity Fair, Esquire, and The New York Times Magazine. In 2001, one of her “Delta Dogs” photographs graced the cover of the late Barry Hannah’s last novel, Yonder Stands your Orphan. Clay’s photographs are permanently housed in The Museum of Modern Art, the Museum of Fine Arts in Houston, and the National Museum in the Arts in Washington D.C.
