Last weekend, when the Rebels took on the Southeast Missouri Redhawks in the 2013 home opener. A group of people traveled to Oxford to experience a tailgate in the Grove with Ray and Wendy Meifert.
Most of the Minnesota Rebels had never been Mississippi. During the trip, the group made a stop at William Faulkner’s grave to take a photo before going to the historic Square.
“Everyone had a great time!” Meifert said. “They’re all confirmed Rebel fans that want to return.”
