21. Princeton Review Names Ole Miss Campus Most Beautiful
Publication picks Oxford campus as No. 1 among U.S. university campuses
The University of Mississippi has been picked by The Princeton Review as the most beautiful campus in America. In 2011 Newsweek also ranked Ole Miss’ campus as the most beautiful in the country.
Indeed, the striking beauty of the Oxford campus, home to the state’s flagship seat of learning since 1848, works wonders as a recruiting tool at Ole Miss, says the university’s dean of students.
“When I speak to students that are from Mississippi or otherwise and ask them when they decided to attend the university, they answer they most always tell me is ‘the day I stepped on campus,'”
Not just a pretty face, the campus is also beautiful in academic ways as well, with it Barksdale Honor’s College, its Croft Institute of International Studies, the Trent Lott Leadership Institute, the William Winter Institute for Racial Reconciliation and a coveted Phi Beta Kappa chapter.
